過去完成式，用來表達一個較長久，永恆的事情。

~Asking indirect questions
問不直接的問題，可用來表達另一意思。
Direct : How old is your brother ?
Indirect : Would you tell me how old your brother is?
~Connectives so,so...that
連接詞，用來連接兩個clause或sentance
so 的用法 (表示因果) 如：I am hungry, so I eat something.
so ... that 的用法(表示程度) 如： I am so hungry that I can eat a horse!
~Be used to
意思是「過去會做的事」，通常現在不會再做。
如：I was used to go to school by foot, now I go to school by bus.
(以前我走路上學，現在我乘巴士上學。)
~Nouns without articles
沒有a, an, the 的名詞，通常都是數不到的(uncountable)，例如 rice
~Comparing amounts
比較數目，通常都會用到 larger than, smaller than, bigger than 等字。
~Asking for permission
祈使句，可以是用來要求得到允許，會用到 Please 這字。
如：Please help me.
~Someone/Somebody, something, anyone/anybody, anything, no one / nobody, nothing
Someone/Somebody 是指某人，第三人稱。
something 是指一些東西，第三人稱。
anyone/anybody 是指任何人，用在是非問題及否定句。
anything 是指任何東西，用在是非問題及否定句。
no one/nobody 是指「沒有人」。
nothing 是指「沒有東西」。
~Using conditionals
使用條件句，通常是因果關係句。如If (因)..., then ...(果)
通常connective在同一句只會出現一次，例如不可以在一句同時用Because及so。
~Talking about ability with could
用 could 來形容做事的能力：用 could 即是代表一件事是應該做了，但沒有做。
您可以參考 could 或 could have + pp 的用法。

表達期望，如 going to + infinitives, will/ shall + 原裝verb
~Gerunds and to-infinitives
Gerund定義：
lt is a noun formed from the -ing form of a verb.
Eg. I like shopping.
infinitive定義：
to-infinitive is a word "to" followed by the base form of a verb!!!
Eg. I like to shop.
什麼時候用？
We use the verbs 'dislike' 'enjoy' like' 'love' 'hate' and want to talk about what we like.
