Deficiency syndrome and cold syndrome are the two major human syndromes, and the former is the fundamental one.

The people in our country attach great importance to building up their health by taking nourishing foods and tonics, and have accumulated profound knowledge. Weakness due to prolonged illness, deterioration of organs, debility in Yin essence of life, deficiency of Yang-Qi, decrease in disease resistance, and decrease in immunologic function are all factors that will lead to a relapse of old illnesses and even to cancer. In order to maintain good health, our forefathers paid great attention to building up their health by taking nourishing foods and tonics, as well as understanding the importance of exercise. However, applying the principles and methods are complicated. As it is very hard to obtain bio-active substances from foods, people have been hoping for a health-promoting product containing bio-active substances which is low in sugar and rich in vitamins and trace elements to replace the numerous and complicated nourishing foods and tonics.
