| | A Queer Quiz | Whenever someone says, "I am very concerned," he or she may mean that he or she is very concerned, or worried; but most of the time he or she means that he or she has no concern entirely, and just to say that he or she is very sorry for the events. In the following story of the very person, I am very concerned; and the name of the very person is... Oops! I think it is not the time yet, and you better start the story rather than knowing the name, or even abandone both two acts.
One night someone fell on the ground from the bad and crack! and got the tiles on the floor broken, which revealed an arch passage way underground. The passage way were lit by some old bulbs of the first generation, which blinked occationally. They were hanging from the ceiling that decorated with some tesselations rickety, and likely to fall to the ground and break themselves and reveal some secrets just anytime; but they did not. As the person slightly pushed the wall with the left hand as not to slip down, and left a print on the surface full with dust and dirt, some carved words revealed. They were found beautiful and decorative but unrecognizable, that means an expert or world-renowned symbologist can hardly recognize even one letter, because they, after my research, were not letters at all. I can only tell you that they were some strokes and some characters expressing an ancient story.
At the end of the passage way a circular room full of smiling people behind rows and rows of old wooden table was found , and a man with quizzical look in a pinstripe suit standing in the very middle of the room.
"Take a stand," said the man to the puzzled new-comer instead of "take a seat", which is mostly used before the quiz start.
"Which stand? I can see a bookstand, an umbrella stand, a hat stand and some music-stands, but I can't see any of them is suitable for me to take," replied the new-comer. "If I take a music-stand, those branches pointing will make me hurt; if I take a hat stand, I'm afraid its hands will tickle me and the hats will make me sneeze; if I take a umbrella-stand, the very tip of an umbrella will stab me to death; and I afraid that it will fall on me when I take the bookstand - "
"That is not a bookstand," said the quizzical man. "They are bookshelfs, my dear, and I think you misunderstood what I mean. When I say "take a stand", it means just like "take a seat", which differ is that you will sit if you take a seat, and you will find a place to stand if you take a stand; and now if you are ready, we'll start the quiz at the very next moment." | | Post time︰2006-11-01 09:33 PM [ 訪客留言(0) ] [ 編輯日誌 ] [ 分享至FACEBOOK ] |

| | Never | Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever should you say the word "ever" over and over and over and over and over after the word "never", like what I do at the very, very, very, very, very, very beginning of this very, very, very, very, very passage; and never, ever, ever, ever, ever should you repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat the word "over" even though you really, really, really, really mean that. If you find that reading this passage makes you really, really, really, really, really bored and keeping reading makes you even more, more, more, more, more, bored, then this is the very, very, very, very, very right time for you to stop. | | Post time︰2006-10-31 10:04 PM [ 訪客留言(0) ] [ 編輯日誌 ] [ 分享至FACEBOOK ] |
