Just return home from attending the wedding banquet of my dear little cousin. Then, I found out something interesting:
(1) Roaster Suckling Pig - traditionally, it represents that the bride is a virgin. But nowadays, who can guarantee so? Although spiritually, people's mind are opened, but in reality, they are still very conservative.
(2) In most of the banquets, some dishes are a must: dried scallop, dee fried crab "clamp", shark fin soup, fried chicken, fish, rice & noodle, dessert twins...
(3) During the serviing of shark fin soup, the families of the bride & the groom will greet the guests. it's good that people now are all wel prepared for the time that no pee time and you have to make sure your wine glass is refilled.
(4) Oranges will be served at the end of the banquet. As a normal practice, nobody is willing to take back the oranges. So some who likes it may bring 12 oranges home in a single banquet.
Do you notice anything else?
