it has been a while since the last time i updated the diary

as i have expected, life after winter break is nothing but hell

i have been working very hard these few weeks in both track and field and academics

in track, we have to run so so so long that i have been losing weight since two weeks ago.  (i don't see that as a good sign)

whatever, today is a very special day for me

not my birthday, not my friend's birthday or any one's day

it's a significant day for my family - a three year mark of settlement in America

three years ago, my family and I arrived in this alien country

at this moment at 6:21pm, i think that i was on the way to my aunt's house, which used to be my home for 3 months, but i fell asleep in the car

when i looked out of the window, i saw this land, so gray and so rural, and i couldn't believe that this is America, the dream land of everyone

three years later, i am sitting in my house, my own house, doing homework and studying for AP Euro on World War II

in these three years, i saw my rapid accumulation of knowledge and growth in character

it is so unbelieveble that time has passed so fast and i am almost half way done with high school

this year has been a very very very fortunate and nice year for me because i had a few major breakthroughs

i have maintained a very good grade in history class, i have broken 2000 for SAT, I got my braces off, and i could drive daily

things have changed a lot but mostly positively

this diary is a permanent memory of my life which i will be able to look back years later

i wonder what my next year's Feb 8 will be like?

As anxious as the one in 2007? As competitive and tiring as the one in 2010?
