一個小男孩，十四歲便能登台演奏，
但中學時成績什至令他要被迫退學。
一次偶爾機會使他接觸到感興趣的物理，
渴望在這一科發展下去。
但同樣音樂出生的母親卻硬要他靠音樂來養活自己。

『讀書不知多有用！課本上的知識對以後非常有幫助！』母親在午餐時不期然地發表論說，
『讀聖經有什麼用呢，我每次在聖經班後也忘了內容，非常浪費我的時間！還要我每星期去一次！』

我冷冷的回答著：『你終於明白我讀書有如你讀聖經那麼煩惱，還要每天也讀咧。』

『你讀書有用嘛！我讀聖經對將來沒有用呀，要記內容來幹什麼！？』母親不肖地回答著。

『那麼我背了歷史後，將來見工時請問老闆會問你第二次封建與第一次封建的比較嗎？』我有點強詞奪理的說。

『誰人都知道讀書是為了考試啦！沒有成績看你怎樣找工作去！』母親回以嚴厲的眼色說。

我只好暗嘆一句『真是前後呼應．．』

我再說：『政府拍那個『求學不是求分數』的宣傳片很荒謬咧！』

『根本就是白痴的，那個片段一早被人投訴至跌倒在地上！』母親激動地說著。
