(4)平常在更換墨粉時要注意把廢粉收集倉中的廢粉清理乾淨，HP碳粉匣以免影響輸出效果。因為廢粉堆積太多時，首先會出現“漏粉”現象，即在輸出的樣稿上(一般是縱向上)出現不規則的黑點、黑塊，如若不加以排除而繼續使用，EPSON碳粉匣宅配過一段時間在“漏粉”處會出現嚴重底灰(並有縱向划痕)。

產生這種故障的原因是起先廢粉堆積過滿，使再產生的廢粉無法進入廢粉倉，而廢粉倉中的廢粉也會不斷“擠”出來而產生“漏粉”現象，接著，由於廢粉中包含著紙灰、纖維等髒物，較粗糙，與硒鼓長時間摩擦，而且越來越緊，壓力越來越大，最終將硒鼓表面的感光膜磨掉了，硒鼓就損壞了。因此輸出的紙樣底灰嚴重，由於它們一直是縱向摩擦，碳粉匣因此在底灰中可見到縱向划痕。所以，在發現輸出“漏粉”時就馬上清理廢粉倉。最後應注意，硒鼓清潔要盡量避光。

環保硒鼓使用小常識

1、安裝使用環境：溫度10-330C，相對濕度20-80%。
2、使用合適的打印介質：不要使用切口不齊、撕裂、摺皺、捲邊、破孔及有釘書釘的紙；HP碳粉匣過厚、過硬的紙（特別是名片紙）會很快磨傷感光鼓，盡量少用；打印膠片時，某些膠片的塗層會溶化粘結在定影輥上，造成永久的損害，所以要特別注意膠片的選擇。
3、在更換硒鼓時，最好用吸塵器清洗機內放置粉盒的地方，用軟布清潔紙道上積聚的紙屑和碳粉，外露的電接觸片可用棉籤蘸酒精擦拭，以保持良好的電接觸性。否則，可能會導致打印色淺。
4、要檢查感光鼓是否轉動靈活，只需朝鼓保護罩推開的方向推動感光鼓齒輪一周即可（74A與3903A則相反）。如用戶倒轉感光鼓，會使碳粉堆積在磁輥與出粉刀之間，造成漏粉。
5、硒鼓使用前要擺動粉盒6-8次，以使碳粉疏鬆並分佈均勻，EPSON碳粉匣然後將封條拉出來，再將碳粉盒放入打印機中。
6、一般情況下，如果機器出現TONER LOW的標誌，打印品會出現色淺現象，碳粉匣宅配此時可搖一搖粉盒，還可以再打印40-50張。
