FUT 16 market discussions 愉快 分類: 未分類

Long story short first, for the context: At some point around October I was very annoyed with the FUT market in FIFA 15 and how prices were beyond silly and rising rapidly (and realizing EA's efforts against coin sellers were barely noticeable), so I decided to switch to PES and give myClub and PES itself a shot after seeing so many comments about this year's version actually being good. In FIFA I hover between Div 1 and 2, and in PES my rating hovers between 825 and 875 most of the time, so it's not like I traded one for the other because I'm better at any of them, I'm fairly decent with both (and have a good time with both games).

According to fut16coin.com, with the new price ranges in effect and so on, fut16coin thought I'd be a good time to come back to FIFA and check how the game plays (and feels) after so long, and how FUT and myClub compare. All this is on PC, btw.

FUT: the game limits your team choices by forcing you to pair players by nationality or league. This makes somewhat difficult (but not impossible) to have insane teams with 90+ rated players everywhere, but you'll get to it eventually (if we exclude the really expensive players). You can have a team with exactly the players you want to have, and as long as you respect the rules (same nationality, same league, etc) you'll have them playing with their best stats.

The new price ranges are a great idea to keep everything in check and stop the market from spiraling out of control and letting a select few be among the richest and, basically, control the market for everyone else.

MyClub: There are no limitations as to which players you can have in your squad, the limit, rather, comes by what manager you have and the value of the players in your squad. Messi and Ronaldo are the most expensive cost wise (101 points each) and the highest rated managers have around 820 cost points. PES forces you to field a starting 11 and 7 subs as the bare minimum, so if you stack really expensive players, you'll be left with few choices (all under 70 rating) to fill the remaining slots, bringing down the potential of your team, but hey, you know if you want to have Ronaldo, Ibra and Messi up top, you'll have to trade them for a weaker defense than if you had just, say, Ronaldo.

Also, similar to the chemistry system of FUT, myClub uses Team Spirit, this gets better as your team plays (and wins) games together, but it goes down every time you add a new player (it usually takes around 8-10 wins for that player to sync with the rest of the team). Team Spirit is quite important when it comes to playing against other teams, and, for two players at the same level of skill, it'll be harder for the player with lower team spirit (harder, but far from impossible).

There is no market here, and therefore you have to work with whatever you have. However, every match you finish (regardless of result) will get you an agent. You can pair 3 of them to sign a new player under certain parameters (each defined by the agents, so it can be something like: Portuguese League, under 30 years old, preferred position CF, which will get you a player that fits those three).

FIFA: Pace is, again, a really dominant stat. This doesn't mean you can't stop "sweaty" squads, far from it, but it makes you wonder in what alternate dimension can Ibarbo, or Doumbia, be considered even a threat against defenders like Thiago Silva, Ramos, Kompany and co. It's maddening that in 2015, we still have the "lock on" (I can't think of any other term to call it) ball mechanic in this game (and you can forget about it going away any time soon, because it's at the foundation of the game, it would have to be remade from scratch to get rid of it.

It's not going away this gen unless EA sees a massive reason to do so, and with the success FIFA is enjoying, that's extremely unlikely to happen). It's at the source of many of the issues FIFA has. Lobbed inch-perfect through passes from one half of the field to another? That's the lock-on mechanic at play. Crosses to the near post that go in even with your defender firmly in place? Lock-on mechanic (and momentum in some cases, but mostly it's the fact the game has locked the attacker to the ball).
