Drug Abuse Doesn't Pay!

Cannabis,ecstasy and ketamine may be heard on the television or newspapers.These spiritual drugs are notorious ones in Hong Kong.In recent years,young people in Hong Kong who abuse drugs have become so common that they seldom consider its causes disadvantages.

What do you think the reason for teenagers to abuse drugs?The first plausible may be curiosity.Young people want to find exciting because they may feel bored in the school and at home.So they will feel fresh to touch spiritual drugs.Besides,it is thought that people somethimes take drugs will not be addicted.It is a wrong thought because it is not piece of cake to insist temptation in such spiritual counterparts.Another related reason is high prospect from parents,especially whose children are facing public examinations.In hopes of their children can pass the examinations,they will arrange a series of busy schedule to them like going to tutorial school,studying music,etc.Parents are seldom to concern their children's feeling on it,so young people will be easy to produce a heavy stress when facing the school and parents.They may take drugs to evade this plight.

Taking drugs apparently can reduce stress.However,those so-called drugs have a potential danger on our body.The harmful effects such as psychasthenis,weakness and heart disease will affect our health seriously.Some teenagers even commit suicide unconsciously as they are controlled by drugs.Drugs abuse not only affect our health,but also our intelligence.Drugs abusers will feel difficult to learn and remenber more,let alone go to university and find an ideal job in the future.

We can see that drugs abuse doesn't pay.In order to have a non-drugs environment in our society,we should take necessary action.First of all,schools can invite some of the professional doctors,nurses and teachers to take lectures about the harmful effects of drug abuse and how to avoid drugs.Over a long period of time,students will think drugs like poisons,they will be far away it.

Another possible way is parents.Since lacking in communication between parents and their children is the main factor to let young people taking drugs.Parents should spend time to understand what they are thinking about it.Besides,parents should teach them how dangerous drugs is and don't eat it.

At last but not least,as an examplary student,if we discover our classmate who is drugs abuser,we should help them to be far away drugs.For example,talking with them and playing together are the good ones.It lets them know that friendship is more important than drugs and they have confidence to abanden taking drugs.
