In the next two months, the election of legislative council will be the hot issue in Hong Kong. In this election, ten new vacancies will be added in the chamber. Five of those are come from gravitational constituencies and the other five are come from district council, which are so-called super legislative members. These five super members are voted from 3 million Hong Kong voters; thus, the supporters must greater than thousands times of the Chief Executive. As a result, no matter pan-democrats or pro-Beijing loyalists want to get as many as possible members to be super members.
In the pro-Beijing loyalists’ team, two of the delegates are from DAB and one of the delegates is from FTU. They said they were full of confidence that they could get three of them. I wonder what they said since from the past 20 years, around 60 percents of Hong Kong people support pan-democrats. In other words, it is no doubt that pan-democrats can get three of the super members whomsoever the delegates are. However, what the delegate of DAB said is the thing that we should reflect upon. The only thing I can say is they may vote-rigging again.
