Happy Valentine's Day!

今日是Symposium 的第一天。上星期忙著為這個event作籌備、打點，及聯絡等等的事宜忙了一整個星期。雖然今天是情人節，但係因為公事忙碌而沒有時間籌謀今晚的慶祝節目，還帶回今午Symposium吃剩的食品回去作膳，省回昂貴情人節套餐的費用。

Today is the 1st day of the Symposium which we have contributed a week's time to organize and coordinate.  Although today is the Valentine's Day, due to the workload last week  I have no time to organize the program for the celebration.  Also, brought back the food which was from the buffet lunch of symposium for the dinner tonight. That's can save the cost of Valentine's feast when dining outside

今晚的飯聚很有意義，因為李氏父女1整整齊齊再聚首一堂了。經過了一年多時間，Daniel 和 太太原諒了他們的女兒。在大年初一，Inglid勇敢地到訪父母，他們沒有給她吃閉門羹，還與她傾談良久。所以今晚的飯聚，雖然李丸因感冒缺席)，仍是十分有意義和值得興祝。飯局中，看見他們父女加弟弟三人，融洽傾談和說笑，都為他們開心。飯後，剛考到車牌不久的天佑提議駕駛父親的車載我和Inglid回家。在途中，坐在車廂後排的我，望著駕駛坐位的天佑及鄰坐的Inglid，感覺得意，平日都是Daniel駕駛李太在旁，今回這個"縮板"組合令我們深深覺得兩姊弟已經真的長大了。

Tonight, a dinner with Li's family, is a very meaningful.  Because Daniel has forgiven his daughter, Inglid, after more than one year's time.  On the 1st day of Rabbit year, Inglid came to visit her parents and got their forgiveness. They talked a long time. Very glad that they can come to dine with us together. It was a happy dinner eventhough Vivian is not available to come due to her sickness. During the dinner, Li's family has shown their happiness and warmness. After the dinner, Inglid's brother, Tim suggested to drive me and Inglid back home with Dan's car.  During the trip, I was sitting at the back and look back the driver seats, the feeling was very different. As because, Dan usually is the driver and Vivian is beside him. But now Tim is the driver and Inlgid is sitting besides.  That picture made me feeling that Inglid and Tim have grown up quickly and no longer as children in our mind.

忙了一整個星期，總算將下星期一的研討會辦妥了。今午是一年一度的中大及警察會的羽毛球友誼賽的日子，今年的賽事在中大舉行。本打算騰出一天作賽前練習，但因為實在忙得不可開交，只好頂硬上。

今年特別邀請了前一哥, 李明逵和曾蔭培及校長作為開球禮嘉賓。賽事在2時多開始，開賽前，三人各自致辭。其實每年的友誼賽，中大都是輸家，所以我隊在極輕鬆的情況下進行，所謂友誼第一，比賽第二。我共出戰八場雙打，只勝一場。雖然不敵"警方"，但係在毫無心理壓力下，打得自然輕鬆自在。

After a busy week, the work and arrangements for the symposium held next Monday have been settled.  This afternoon, we have had the annual friendly match with HK Police Force Badminton Team.  This year, the match was taken place at CUHK. I intended to have some practices during this week, however I was very very busy that couldn't have time to do that.  

The guests of this friendly match were Mr. Tsang Yam Pui and Mr. Lee Ming Kwai, the 2 former Commissioner of Police Force, together with Prof. Sung, our VC.  Each of them have delivered speeches before the commencement of the match.  Usually, CU team is the loser for the past years, so our team don't have much expectations.  I have played 8 games and losed 7.  Although we losed, we did enjoyed the match because we have no pressure on the 'match' and treat it as a 'game'.
