已經三個多星期了，下雨天還沒有停下來。 原本由前天改期至今天的網球賽又因天雨關係須延至星期五，真是人有點兒悶透了。今早起來外面仍是不停的下著大雨，預料今天進行比賽的機會很渺茫。

放工時仍是下著雨，網球賽沒有舉行，便回家弄晚餐。不知選擇什麼作為今晚的菜餚時，步入City Super，買了一包我從未下廚烹煮過的日本稻亭烏冬，見到手掌般大的荷蘭進口磨菇，和有機白菜，還買了澳洲的入口雞翼，便打算弄一餐日式晚餐。埋單要百多元，可能貴過出去外面吃。

Almost 3 weeks, the sky is still non-stop raining. The postponed tennis match is again moved to coming Friday.  It's really boring.  I have assumed today will have no chance for the match when I woke up this morning and there was still raining.

In spite of no match, I plan to cook the dinner.  When I entered the City Super, I found a kind of mushroom which size is similar to my hand. I bought the Dao Ting Udon (japanese style), organic vegetables and australian chicken wings for tonight's japanese dinner.  I was in shock I spent over $100 dollar for them. Perhaps it is more expensive than taking the meal outside at a japanese restaurant.

今天又是納悶的下雨天，原本今日放工後參加的教職員網球賽因天雨影響而改期至星期三(18/6)。正因為此，也可讓我這個因為上星期六的比賽後仍然疲累的身驅有多兩天休息。不過還是對網球賽不大有信心，因為自從拾起羽毛球拍後，已很久沒有練習網球，我想就是發球也可能已經不大懂得了。

Always rainy days..... The orginally scheduled staff tennis match would be postponed to Wed (18/6).  Because of the postponement, I have more  time  to take rest after the inter-universities badminton tournament last Sat.  I still have not had much confidence on the tennis because I seldom practise when I concentrate on the badminton games.  Maybe I lose my basic skills on it. 

今天是八大羽毛球賽的日子，不，是七大才是，因為教育學院未能組隊參加。集合時間是早上8時45分，開賽是9時半。經過一輪熱身同寒暄之後，球賽終於在10時開始了。昨晚睡得不好，頸項有些酸痛，影響了今天的狀態也不大好。

中大是種籽隊伍，所以於小組(A組)只須對科大和嶺南大學，是比B組(港大、浸大、城大和理大)打少一場。在對嶺大這隊魚腩隊，我們中大各組球員唯獨是我這隊混雙連一局也取不到勝局，真係非常唔好意思及內疚呢。之後對科大更是大比數敗陣，全靠我隊的隊員奮力付出才能進身準決賽。往後的對賽，個人總結是得零局數。

雖然如此，我還是很高興，因為可藉此機會同各大學的同事朋友們聚首一堂，傾傾計、打吓氣，很快就過了大半天。對港大的隊員最為熟悉，知道他們有新球員加入，加上各人出色的表現下，也被他們摘下冠軍了，而中大取了殿軍。比賽9時終於結束，隨即舉行頒獎及往自助晚餐。

各港大隊員均拿著獎杯拍照，雖無緣捧杯，我也借機會拍張照。

Today is the day of Inter-Institutions Badminton Tournament organized by the HK Polytechnic University at their Staff Club.  The gather time is 8:45 am and the tournament started at 9:30 am.  After the warm up and chatting, the events actually commenced at 10:00 am.  In spite of not sleeping well yesterday night, I felt I was not in the good and stable situation to adapt the match.

As CUHK is the seed team of this tournament, our Group A comprised of CU, HKUST and Lingnan Univ. Compared with Group B (HKU, Baptist Univ, City Univ. and PolyU), we took the advantage that we played less one game than them. When we were against the weakest team, Lingnan, I was the most pair lost  mixed double and all my team players won the other matches with Lingnan. I was so embarrased. By the way, I also lost the points against HKUST, CityU and HKU as well.  Fortunately, my team players were so strong and power enough to have the chance to enter the semi-final.

Although I lost my games, I was still happy because it gave me the chances to chat with other players among other universities.  As an audience, all games were very exciting, rather than being an player. The times went fast and the semi-finals started at 3:00 pm. It was later than scheduled time 2:00 pm. I knew the team players of the HKU very well and I was also very excited and surprised that HKU won the champion. Actually, some new comers of HKU and the improvements of them achieved the success.  CUHK got the 3rd-runners up.  The whole game ended at 9:00 pm and followed by the buffet dinner.  Although no way to get the champion cup, I still took a photo.
