3rd & last working day in KL |
分類: 未分類 |
Again I felt important as I had a meeting with the country GM, and also a Dato in Malaysia~ But before that, I had a good eating day:
Morning - McDonald's breakfast. Although it's nothing special but much better than muffin which tastes like sand ...
Lunch - "Little Penang" in KLCC. It's my first time have salad of fruit with source like soy source and chopped peanuts and some other things. My first fruit salad having a salty taste.
Dinner - I have Mut Koot Tei. Tasty as I had it years ago.
This marks the end to this eat eat drink drink business trip. I have eaten a lot of delicious food in both Bangkok and KL which is good to me. But the only bad thing was that I have left home for more than a week. I missed my family so much - especially the little sweety MuiMui~

2nd Day in KL |
分類: 未分類 |
Breakfast - muffin & Thai meal roll in the hotel snack bar
Lunch - noodle in KL China Town. Then I bought some dessert to the team.
Dinner - Indian food with the Manager & the new rep
You see my diary is getting more and more precise - because I'm sleepy now. On TV, it's showing a very old movie by Anita Mui and Andy Lau & Aaron Kwok. It seems that Anita is just somewhere else but not have left us forever. She is our forever super star. We miss you Anita~
Karina Lau was one of the cast. After 15 years, she has not changed much - in terms of her appearance and her acting skill ...

1st day work in KL |

Tired. Although the flight from Bangkok to KL only took me 2 hours, but it tired me so much. So even I have had a good night sleep, i was still tired.
Actually not too many things to do there, I just reviewed the opened files and gave the manager & the new rep a refresh on the work thing. Lunch - they brought me to a local stall for local food. Taste Chinese ... but afterall, many of the people in Malaysia are Chinese so what's the difference?
Work and work and after work the manager brought me to Mid Valley. She shopped, I walked then we went to have Japanese dinner. Nothing special as it's only Japanese sets. So it's just an ordinary night.
Back to hotel, watched TV, sleep.
Oh! When we were on our way to Mid Valley, it drizzled. That meant that I'm not that prescious in KL ...

My arrival at KL |
分類: 未分類 |
Departing from the rainy Bangkok, I arrived the sunny KLIA on time. It only took me 3 minutes to pass the immigration and clear custom, but it took me about 30 minutes to wait for my suitcase. I think KL is getting more and more "HK" in terms of the slow service in baggage claim ...
I took taxi from airport to downtown KL. It took me an hour - don't know why it only took me about 45 minutes in my previous visit but this time it took me an hour ... Malaysian drove slowly ???
Arrived & checked in hotel at 9pm already. I didn't have any appetite to eat so just got the apple provided by the hotel. The hotel mentioned that as their member, they would provide me with daily fresh fruit, is that apple the so-called "daily fresh fruit"? Malaysia has a lot of fresh fruit. Can they provide me more (in terms of variety and quantity)???
Nothing else to say. I better sleep as I have another day of work to do. |

Another raining day. I was waken by the heavy early in the morning - 5am. Then, the sun came out, I went for a walk in the street. As I always say I'm not a shopping person, I only walked on the street. So hot ...
The street was packed with people because the Four Faced God statue would return to her original temple. People was so happy to see about that as their local guradian angel was back~ I could hardly walk on the place near the temple as it's also near to the hotel. As it started to rain and the street was so crowded, I went back to hotel to see the live broadcast ... so you see people treat this as a big event ...
Still 1 hour to go until the car would pick me up, I washed my hair and suddenly the driver called. I rushed down and started my journey to the airport to leave Thailand. This ended my days in Bangkok. A Mercedez carrying a HK girl, driving from central Bangkok to the Bangkok International Airport in the rain ...

Last working day in Bangkok + "The Da Vinci Code" |
分類: 未分類 |
Last working Day in Bangkok. I went to office early to make sure I could start my training on time, and during lunch time, we went to a very local stall to have our lunch. It's my first time to "cry" when eating Thai food. "I've got, tears in my eyes... " Really spicy ... but good food. What's more, my lunch only cost me 20 Baht (HK$4) ...
The last part of the training continued after lunch. We finished on time, and also have time to review the files. Everything ended at 5pm. I said goodbye to the new girl and went to my next destination with the supervisor - the cinema, for a movie that I've waited for a very long time: "The Da Vinci Code".
The cinema was a nice one - new and modern, with confortable chairs. On that day, the cinema was only half full and we got a good seat. The movie was great but the problem was the chair. Although it was comfortable, it's a lying chair that I had to half lye down on the chair which made my back hurt. But with this great movie, I could bear with it. More important, the ticket was only 120 Baht (about HK$30. Very good price). After that we went to China Town for dinner - Shark Fin Soup.
The price is very HK, and the food is OK. I tried a Thai & HK Fusion meal and not bad. The dinner cost me the same amount of money that I ate in Four Seasons by myself ... I should go to China Town that night instead of going to Four Seasons ...

2nd Training Day in Bangkok |
分類: 未分類 |
2nd Training Day and everything went well. I had a very ordinary lunch - just in the food court of the supermart Big C. Good food at low price. I had some Thai noodle and also mango with sticky rice. So good ~
Then work continued in the afternoon. After a satisfying lunch, I was sleepy during the training so sometimes I just didn't know what I said =P Luckily, time flies and I could left at 7pm. To reward myself for a tiring day, I had my dinner in the Thai restaurant of Four Seasons Hotel.
Another example of name overrides food quality. The reastuarant was renovated as a old fashioned warehouse and the staff was nice. But the main problem was the food - high price but the food quality was just average.
I ordered a set menu. Although the listed items on the menu was long, but since the portion was very small, the food could be summarize as: appetizer, soup, main course - 5 dishes and some rice, dessert combo (actually it's 5 types of Thai dessert - not delicious ones). With a drink I ordered separately, it cost me about 1,200 Baht. A very full but expensive meal. Not very satisfying ...
Oh~ almost forgot. Before I had my expensive dinner, I shopped in "Central". As a HK woman, I bought what a woman should buy, and also some fruit from the supermarket. I got 2 BIG mangoes and some Lai Chee. |

1st Training Day in Bangkok |
分類: 未分類 |
First training day. In the first half, it's all about meeting. It's the first time that I felt myself so important - the GM asked the department supervisor to call me and made appointment to have meeting with me le~
As I always say my business trips are all about eating, the first lunch I had with the girls was a Vietnamese meal. Delicious. Although the restaurant is just next to the famous Central Department Store (where HK ladies always go to buy their bras), no HK tourist found such a good restaurant. I'm such next time when I go there - even for my personal trip, I'll go there.
After a half day's training, meal again. May (the supervisor, a Chinese Thai girl) brought me to a very local restaurant near the office. A great dinner. Both the price and food are good. I found that I'm a person care about food quality rather than the environment or price (of course, price is important too).
At night, I found something which proved that I’m a precious person was that: it rained again.

Departing on a typhoon day |
分類: 未分類 |
First time on travel during a typhoon day. I was so scared that there would be problems during the flight, but nothing happened. The flight was so stable - extraordinarily stable. I had a good flight to Bangkok.
Everything went well, except there was some problem with the tyre of the car that I took from airport to hotel - it's a Mercedez~ and my hotel is Grand Hyatt~ Have never been that "extravagant" ...
As always, I did go to supermarket to shop for necessities. It includes chips, desserts, juice and some minor souvenir (pepper) ... then, believe it or not, I "swept the street" - buying hawker food. The first time I did it was about 18 years ago when I first came to Thailand (when I was small, and X'mas tree was tall ...) This time I got some pork and a drumstick and also a bag of green mango. Not bad~
Then at night, I went out to my favorite shop "Propaganda" for my beloved "bald boy" and I got a T-shirt again~ Walk around the Siam Paragon - it's huge but empty and the aircon is cold. I'm not a shopping person so it did not attract me at all. On the way back to hotel, I had my dinner in a Thai, Chinese & Japanese Restaurant (because they have almost everything).
I had a very special event in this business trip - shaving. You won't believe I would bring my shaving machine with me for business trip? I need it for wearing sleeveless clothes & dress ma~ Then ate a lot and sleep lor. Not very good sleep because of the travel and my headach. Hope it would be better in the coming nights. |
